Come and Explore

At the St. George Children’s Museum, every exhibit is designed to invite children and families to discover, imagine, and create through hands-on play. Our exhibits are spread across two 10,000-square-foot floors, each with its own focus. The Main Floor centers on community and careers, helping children explore the people, places, and professions that shape the world around them. The Lower Floor is designed to spark imagination, creativity, and discovery through storytelling, art, science, exploration, and open-ended play.

Main Floor

The Main Floor gives children the chance to step into familiar community spaces and try on a variety of roles. They can build in the Construction Zone, sponsored by the Southern Utah Home Builders Association (SUBA); explore farming and agriculture; care for animals in the veterinary exhibit, sponsored by Red Hills Animal Hospital; work in the auto garage, sponsored by Stephen Wade Auto Center; or imagine a journey through the Airport. The floor also features an interactive train play area sponsored by 435Locals, the Tuacahn Theater, a radio station sponsored by Canyon Media, a bank sponsored by State Bank of Southern Utah, and Lin’s Grocery Store. Together, these exhibits encourage children to explore how a community works and the many ways people contribute to it.

Lower Floor

The Lower Floor opens the door to worlds of imagination and exploration. Children can dive beneath the waves in the Under-the-Sea Submarine, test their skills in the sports exhibit sponsored by Utah Tech University, explore the Desert Discovery Room, or travel back in time in the dinosaur-themed Prehistoric Adventure Room, sponsored by TCN. They can also create in the Art and Music Rooms, explore stories in the Storybook Castle and lending library, and investigate science, engineering, and space exploration in the Event Horizon SpaceWorks Science Room. Each space is designed to give children room to create, experiment, pretend, and follow their curiosity wherever it leads.
