Why do I need to sign a waiver?

By signing the waiver, you are helping us ensure that each of our guests is aware of Museum expectations and rules. This helps us provide a safe environment for your family and others during your visit. The information you provide is only used in case of an emergency!

Where do I buy tickets?

Tickets can be purchased at the admission desk upon arrival. We do not accept reservations.

Can I drop my child off at the Museum?

Child drop-offs are strictly prohibited. All children must be accompanied by someone age 16 or older. 

Is there a dress code?

All guests, regardless of age, are required to wear shirts, pants or skirts, and shoes at all times while inside the Museum. All clothing must be dry, and swimsuits are not permitted. 

What discounts are available?

Can I eat lunch in the Museum?

Food and drink are not permitted in the Museum with the exception of water. There are many picnic tables on the grounds of the Museum where guests can enjoy lunch. Guests can re-enter by showing their admission wristband at the front desk.

What additional educational resources do you have?

All education guides and other resources can be found under the “Resources” tab on our website. 

Do you close on holidays?

The museum is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. All other hours can be found here.

Do you have a quiet space for nursing or feeding parents?

Yes! Please ask the staff member at the front desk to guide you to a quiet place.

Are there lockers available?

SGCM does not have lockers, however a staff member will happily hold your items in the back office upon request. 

Can I bring a stroller?

Strollers are permitted, but not encouraged due to limited space. If needed, please bring an umbrella-style stroller. 

What age range does the museum serve?

The St. George Children’s Museum is designed to serve children ages 18 months to 13 years of age. All children are different, and all are welcome to visit.

Can I apply the price of admission to a membership?

Admission fees can be applied to a membership only on the day of purchase. Please speak with a staff member for more information. 

What resources do you have for children with Autism or other sensory needs?

Guests can check out a Sensory Bag at the front desk. The bag contains noise-reducing headphones and fidget tools. For more resources, see our website here.
